Random Good #11 - Getting Through Writer's Block
Picture yourself slaving away at a report, paper, or (ahem) blog post. You're chugging through, putting together some good material. However, out of nowhere, you hit a snag. Writer's block. You struggle for minutes/hours trying to think of new material, but it just doesn't come to you. You look for inspiration or anything to stimulate your brain, and usually, from the most random place, you think of something and you're back on track.
I know this can be considered a random bad, but I prefer the feeling of getting over the block. It's a sense of relief and accomplishment that comes from exercising your mind. For me, it would always happen before an concluding paragraph to an essay. I always have trouble putting together a summary of a report into a paragraph, without sounding redundant. However, once I got through concluding paragraph writer's block, I was home free, and my work was usually complete. It was always a very satisfying feeling.
