Everyone's had this happen to them before. It usually happens when you finish driving, but your after-car-shutoff routine gets sidetracked by something such as a phone call. You forget to grab the keys but continue on with the rest of the routine. You open the door, hit the unlock button, step outside, and *WHAM* shut the door.
Almost immediately, you know something is wrong. You reach inside your pockets to see if you have everything and a feeling of dread hits, you locked your keys inside the car. Now you're helpless and stranded. Hopefully you have a spare key at your house. On the other hand, now you have to call someone to bring you your keys, effectively displaying your ineptitude. After it's all over, everyone's wasted a bunch of time and you feel stupid. You promise yourself that you'll be careful from now on, but it's only a matter of time before it happens again...
